Info
Alyssa Block is a visual artist living in San Francisco who holds an MFA from San Francisco Art Institute and a lapsed membership in the American Pencil Collectors Society. Her sculptures and paintings are a kind of fictionalized autobiography, examining temporality, identity, and personal growth. Her work has been shown throughout the Bay Area, including at Bass & Reiner and Gallery 16, and her functional objects have been sold through independent publishers and retailers such as Chronicle Books, Park Life, and The Thing Quarterly. Intermittently, she teaches art courses to adults and children which emphasize inclusivity and self-reflection.
